as if he would not notice. as if he were b l i n d. sometimes he does worry if she truly thinks she’s fooling him, if she’s relying on it for any reason… but concern always speaks higher, as it should, and it is impossible to stay quiet considering her condition. human human h u m a n. so small and f r a g i l e… so severely in need of those little things he had forsworn so long along.

maybe his ‘no objections’ face would work better if it were not covered in concern, but a finger against his lips should be enough to convey how she should not complain. sitting on the bed next to her, allowing his fingers to gently stroke her hair, trying to convince her that all is well, that he will NOT let anything hurt her. and that does include herself.
usually sex, lots of lace & adorable little smiles could keep a man distracted but the one she decided to fall in love with was far too attentive, gifted with the keen senses of a vampire. & the pout hardly had time to form on full lips as she was hoisted from her seat, a small squeal quickly overrun by a bout of giggles. as her own fragility sickened her, another sought to cherish & preserve it at all costs.
once the mattress was beneath her frame, the weight of him joining her own, fingers caressing champagne locks, unraveling ribbon after ribbon of curls, the protests on her tongue fizzled away. instead she nestled close, nearly resting atop him, head resting on his shoulder, the bridge of her nose nuzzling the curve of his neck until the soft touch became the presence of her lips to adorn his skin with a slew of butterfly kisses.
